The finalised Programme for the 7th CLaSF Workshop on 'Private Enforcement of Competition Law' has now been published. It features papers to be delivered from leading scholars in the field.

A call for papers for the Eighth CLaSF Workshop on 'The Consumer, the Retail Sector and Competition' has now been published. The Workshop will take place on Thursday 7 September 2006.

Five CLaSF Fellowships to the value of £5,000 are also announced.

The 7th CLaSF Working paper, by James Killick, has now been published. The Paper is an in depth study of fining policy adopted by the European Commission and the Member States.

The Third Issue of the Competition Law Review has now been published. The Issue features articles by Renato Nazzini, Arianna Andreangeli and Kristina Nordlander which focus on 'Due Process' issues in Competition Law.

The full programme for the 6th CLaSF Workshop, 'Modernising Article 82', has now been published. The Workshop will be held on Thursday 8 April 2005 in London and will feature a selection of papers from leading scholars in the field. Those presenting include: Thomas Eilmansberger, John Kallaugher, Lisa Gorman, Ekaterina Rousseva, Frank Maier-Rigaud, Michele Messina, Ulla Neergaard, and Burton Ong.

The full programme for the 5th CLaSF Workshop, on 'Due Process in European Compeition Law', has now been published. The Workshop will be held on Friday 7 April 2005 in Glasgow and will feature a selection of papers from leading scholars in the field. Those presenting include: Alan Riley, Angus MacCulloch, Arianna Andreangeli, Kristina Nordlander, James Killick, Renato Nazzini, Philippa Watson, and Karen Yeung.

The European Commission is now in the process of reviewing its approach to Article 82. The CLaSF Management Board invites papers for its Sixth Workshop which consider the current state of application of Article 82, including policy and theoretical justifications for maintaining or extending in whole or in part the current doctrine and any critical assessments of the provision, in particular relating to the policy and practice of the Commission. In addition, we would also welcome comparative analyses of Article 82.

The CLaSF Management Board are able to offer up to 4 Fellowships of up to £5,000 each to support research and prepare a paper for the Workshop.

The CLaSF makes a call for papers for its 5th CLaSF Workshop on 'Due Process in European Competition Law' to be held on Thursday 7th April 2005 at Glasgow Graduate School of Law.

Due process in this context includes the conflicts between human rights and competition law; questions arising from the AKZO and AMS case law in respect of legal professional privilege; the complexities of applying leniency programmes at Community and Member State level; the impact of the new Network of Competition Authorities system on procedural rights; Community and Member State fining policies and the challenges faced in applying and responding to European criminal antitrust statutes.

CLaSF Working Paper 06 has been published on the 'Working Papers' page. The paper 'The Modernization of the System of Implementation of Articles 81 and 82 of the Treaty of the European Community from the Spanish Perspective' was originally presented by Alfonso Luis Calvo Caravaca, María Pilar Canedo Arrillaga, and Natividad Goñi Urriza, at the CLaSF April Workshop.

CLaSF Working Paper 05 has been published on the 'Working Papers' page. The paper 'Decentralised Application of EU Competition Law: A Strategic Approach' was originally presented by Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, of Carlos III University of Madrid, at the CLaSF April Workshop.
